Being a tropical island, Mauritius does have a rainy season, but the rain tends to last an hour or so and then stop, so you could still play golf pretty much every day. Other than the golf there are, a lot of opportunities to indulge in every type of water sport, excellent diving or snorkeling. You must pay a visit to Port St Louis, with its colonial architecture and traditional markets; The Pamplemousse Garden, the waterfalls, the Black River Gorge National Park or, if you just want to relax, the beach and the pools.

The Belle Mare Plage Resort: 45 minutes from the airport and from the capital, Port St Louis. It has two of the island’s four 18- hole courses on its domain. The Belle Mare Plage Resort is situated along one of the most beautiful beaches on the east coast of the island.

About the Course: The new Links course is one of the hotel’ s three championship golf courses.
It has been created out of indigenous forest and volcanic rock and provides a different challenge to its sister, the Legend, with a links feel, wide-open spaces and rolling terrain.
Water comes into play on 6 holes, the most memorable being N° 11 -14 which are played around an inland lake.
Paradis Hotel & Golf Club, Le Morne Peninsula:

Paradis is situated on a private peninsula South West of the island, at the foot of the majestic Le Morne mountain. Taxis are available at the airport to the different hotels.The golf course is located within the resort’s premises with a tee-off located at 20ms only from the beach.
Saint-Géran Golf Club, Poste de Flacq
Length 2540 m – 9 holes – Par 33
Holes 9-hole course featuring fairways and greens lined with coconut trees and the sixth hole built alongside the beach and the sea.
It is the second oldest course on the island. The course is laid out in a plantation of four thousand coconut palms, between the Indian Ocean and the Belle Mare lagoon. 1h30 from the airport. Shandrani Golf Course, the Mashie course, Blue Bay
9 holes 9 Pitch & putt – Length Mashie course: 767 m – Par 30
Location Nestled on a private peninsula, overlooking the Blue Bay lagoon in the south eastern coast od the island. The course runs along the beaches of the Shandrani and offers breathtaking views over the ocean.
Tamarina Golf Estate and Beach Club – Tamarin Bay
18 holes – championship course with 5 different tees – Length 7200 m – Par 72
Situated on Tamarin Bay, on the west coast of Mauritius, 45 minutes drive from the airport and 25 minutes from the capital, Port Louis. It sprawls across 200 hectares at the foot of the dramatic. It is a challenging course that covers over 43 hectares of savannah land, bordered with mature trees. Some of the holes have beautiful views of Mont Rempart and Tamarin Bay.
Le Telfair Golf & Spa Resort, Bel Hombre Golf Course, Bel Ombre

Located 40 minutes from the airport, on the east coast of Mauritius, close to the famous paradisiac “Ile aux Cerfs”.

Lemuria Championship Golf Course, Praslin

Lemuria GC borders the enchanting beaches of the small Kerlan Cove and the Grand Kerlan Cove.
The first 12 fairways are lined with palm trees. From the 13th hole onwards, the course becomes very hilly and enjoys beautiful views.
