Addis Ababa – Bahir Dar – Gondar – Lalibela: 05 days/04 nights-
Day1: Arrive Addis Ababa
Upon arrival in Addis Ababa you will be met by your driver and transfer to your hotel. In the afternoon you will have half-day city tour Addis Ababa:
National Museum: – which comprises of many archaeological and historical findings including the famous complete hominid fossil remain of `Lucy` locally known as Dinknesh meaning wonderful. Visiting this museum means having a good summary for your visit to the historic Ethiopia.

Trinity Cathedral: -a beautiful church with a baroque style of European architecture which is unique to both Ethiopia and Africa and is dedicated to the Holly Trinity. Here you will find scripts of the imperial families, statues done by a Greek sculpture, Stained glass window paintings from the Old and New Testament in the Bible and coffins of Emperor Haile Silassie-I, the founder of the church, and his wife Merkato:-It is the largest open-air market in Africa. Here you will be presented with confusing, but fascinating, glimpse of the vast range of goods and artifacts available from all parts of the country and you will enjoy the Ethiopian trade exchange tradition in the open air, you can purchase anything you desire here.

Day2: Fly to Bahir Dar

In the morning, transfer to the airport for your flight to Bahir Dar a town on the southern shore of Lake Tana. Up on arrival you will have boat trip on Lake Tana to visit the island monasteries of Azwa Mariam and Ura Kidane Mihret.

In the afternoon you will drive to the small town of Tis isat to visit the magnificent Blue Nile falls.

Day3: Drive to Gondar.

In the morning, you will drive to Gondar, the Camelot of Africa which was the 17th and 18th capital of Ethiopia. Here you will visit:

The castle compound: In the compound, there are 6 castles including the oldest and most magnificent Fasildes castle. King Fasildes was the founder of the town in 12636 and lead until 1667 where his son Johannes succeeded him.

Debre Birhan Sillassie Church: The church was never destroyed even during the dervishes destroyed many buildings with in the castle compound. This colorful rectangular church is known for its 18th century ceiling angles head paintings and wall painted paintings.

The bath of King Fasildes: This is the place where the colorful Timket festival (Epiphany) is celebrated every January.

Day 4: Fly to Lalibela
After breakfast transfer to the airport for your flight to Lalibela. visit the 12th century Rock – hewn churches of Lalibela, morning the first group of Rock- hewn churches and after lunch the second group Rock – hewn churches of Lalibela.

Day5: Fly to Addis Ababa.

After breakfast, you will be transferred to the airport for your flight to Addis Ababa.

In the afternoon you will discover the Ethnological Museum:
Ethnological Museum: Located on the campus of the Addis Ababa University.
It has complete collections that describe almost all the tribal groups in Ethiopia. Here you will have an overview about the history, culture, and traditions of the Ethiopian people. The collections include the nomadic tribal groups that are now living just as man’s forefather lived thousands years ago.

After a farewell dinner in a traditional restaurant enjoying traditional dances you will be transferred to the airport for your homebound flight.

The South Cultural route

Addis Ababa – Arba Minch – Jinka – Turmi
07 days/06 nights

Day 1: Arrive Addis Ababa
On arrival in Addis Ababa you will be met by your driver and transferred to your hotel.

Day 2: Drive to Arba Minch

After breakfast, depart for Arba Minch meaning forty springs named after the several bubbling streams surrounding the town. On the way, you will visit the village of Alaba people who are known for their painted houses and the village of the Dorze people who are known for their beehive shaped huts and cotton clothes.

Day 3: Drive to Jinka

After breakfast, drive to the town of Jinka on the way visiting the village of Konso people who are known for their efficient rock terracing. On Thursday, you will have the chance to visit the colorful key Afer market where the Ari, Benna and Tsemay people are selling their products.

Day 4: Excursion to Mursi village

After breakfast leave Jinka and drive to a Mursi village.

The Mursi tribes are renowned for the strange custom followed by their women who on reaching maturity, have their lower lips slit and circular disks inserted. Proceed to Mago National Park for a game drive to discover the wildlife and large varieties of birds.

Back to Jinka for overnight at your selected hotel.

Day 5: Drive to Turmi

In the morning, you will drive to the settlement of the Hamer people who are known for the bull jumping ceremonies and the colorful dresses of the Hamer women.

Day 6: Drive to Arba Minch
After breakfast drive to Arba Minch visiting en route the village of the Aerbore people.

Day 7: Drive to Addis Ababa
Drive back to Addis visiting the rift valley lake of Ziway known for its five little volcanic islands and several water bird species.
After a farewell dinner in a traditional restaurant enjoying traditional dances you will be transferred to the airport for your homebound flight.

The Historical route
Addis Ababa – Bahir Dar – Gondar – Axum – Lalibela 07 days/06 nights
Day 1: Arrive Addis Ababa
On arrival in Addis Ababa you will be met by your driver and transferred to your hotel.

Day 2: Bahir Dar
After breakfast you will be transferred to the airport for your flight to the lake side town of Bahir Dar.
You will drive to the small town of Tiss Abay and visit the famous Blue Nile Falls.
The fall plunges 45 meters below, giving rise to steam clouds, smoke for fire, which is locally known as ‘Tiss Issat’.
In the afternoon, enjoy a boat trip on Ethiopia’s largest lake, Lake Tana;
Visit the monasteries of Ura Kidane Mihret and Azwa Mariam well known for the colorful frescoes of religious scenes, and an impressive display of illuminated bibles written in Ge’ez, Ethiopia’s oldest language.

Day 3: Drive Bahir Dar – Gondar
Drive to Gondar, the 17th and 18th century capital of Ethiopia.
Visit the ‘Royal Compound’, the ‘Bath of Emperor Fasilades’, Debre Birhan Sillassie church (‘Trinity at the mount of light’ ) which is the finest of the Gonderine churches.
It was built during the reign of Emperor Iyasu (1682 – 1706). The inside walls of the front room are covered with paintings on cloth, glued to the surface. The ceiling is built with thick beams and it is decorated with winged angel heads looking down. The wall paintings depict scenes from the life of Christ, and Mary.

Day 4: Fly Gondar – Axum
Today you will fly to Axum- the most ancient capital of Ethiopia.
Your visit: the Archeological museum of Axum and the Cathedral of St. Mary of Zion, which is believed to be the last resting place of the Original Ark of the Covenant; the famous ‘Stele field’ (4th Century AD and UNESCO World Heritage Site, the ruin palace and tomb of King Kaleb and King Gebre Meskel (5th and 6th Century AD) and the residence of the legendary Queen of Sheba (9th century BC).

Day 5: Fly Axum-Lalibela
After breakfast, transfer in to airport for your flight to Lalibela.
Lalibela is home to the 12th century hand- carved rock churches of King Lalibela (1181 – 1221) whom the town is named after.
The first group churches of Lalibela (UNESCO World Heritage Site) which are found northeast of a stream named ‘River Jordan’.

Day 6: Lalibela
In the morning, enjoy a mule back ride to the hill top semi monolithic church of Asheten Mariam (13th Century AD).
The peak of the hill offers a wonderful viewpoint to have bird eye view of the surrounding area including the town of Lalibela. In the afternoon, visit the second and the third group of churches of Lalibela.

Day 8: Fly Lalibela – Addis
Fly back to Addis.
Enjoy a walk in the most famous street in Addis – Churchill Street, named after Winston Churchill who helped Ethiopia to regain its independence from the Fascist Italian occupation. This street is famous for its antique shops.

Day 9: Your homebound flight
Transfer to the airport for your homebound flight.
