Accommodation varies from modest apartments and motels through to five star deluxe accommodations such as the Q1 Resort & Spa, the Palazzo Versace, the Sheraton Mirage, Marriott Hotel and apartments such as Belle Maison .

Main Beach is a delightful area with a variety of apartment buildings, some of which have ocean views. The area of Main Beach boasts one street – Tedder Avenue, which is noted for its elegant restaurants, charming cafes, several excellent boutiques and other shops.

Broadbeach is the area adjacent to Pacific Fair, the Oasis shopping centre, Niecon Plaza and the Casino. There is a range of excellent accommodation ranging from the Phoenician Health and Spa Resort, Grand Mercure Broadbeach Hotel, Conrad Jupiters Hotel, and the Aruba Sands Resorts, through to the more modest South Pacific Plaza.

A little further south is the area of Mermaid Beach/Miami. Magic Mountain Quest Resort is situated here. This complex, built on the top of a hill has great views of either the hills or the ocean. The three bedroom apartments are well sized for longer stays.

Still further south are the areas of Burleigh Heads and Coolangatta. These areas are around 30 minutes from central Surfers. The beach at Coolangatta is especially safe for children. Coolangatta now boasts some excellent shopping and cafes and is close to all the tourist attractions of northern New South Wales.

From the fully themed Australian landscape with great iconic Australian natives and scenic backdrops, the Arena sand which evokes Australian outback, the corrugated iron roof and galvanised railings and heavy timbers that are used throughout the arena to the old fashioned wagon wheel light fittings, and the winding billabong located under the entrance bridge – the venue truly feels and looks like a traditional outback shearing shed located in the Outback.

Seaworld: Dolphins, whales, penguins, sea lions, Polar Bears, roller coaster rides, water skiers. Feeding the mammal shows, entertainment,  restaurants.

Movieworld; A full day of fun for all the family. See your favourite cartoon character, learn how movies are made and enjoy the entertainment. Wet & Wild -Wave pool, waterslide.

Dreamworld: Home to the Claw, The Tower of Terror, the tallest ride in the world, the white tigers, a koala sanctuary, and animated theatre. Rides for all ages and often special entertainment during school holidays.

Currumbin Sanctuary: Situated 18km south of Surfers Paradise The Park has a great collection of Australian animals and birds. See endangered species, feed kangaroos, ride the miniature train, see Aboriginal dancing and visit the animal nursery and orphanage. The Birds & Bees package includes a visit to the nearby Superbee Honeyworld for the exciting bee show .

Tropical Fruit World: Although situated in the Tweed Valley this is an easy drive from the Gold Coast. Taking around 30 minutes. It is an adventure, taking you on a tour of 50 hectares of tropical fruit trees with nearly 300 hundred types of rare and exotic fruits, many not yet widely known. You have the chance to try such exotic delicacies (if in season) as the Chocolate Pudding Fruit, The Miracle Fruit which changes your taste buds making sour fruits sweet, papaya, Custard Apples, Carambolas, Mammey Sapotes, Jak Fruit, Avocado and many more. Visit the Garden of the Lost Inca Crops (the only one of its kind outside the Andes) and take a tropical canal cruise. Visit the Animal Park and feed the animals and ride a miniature train past the Water Lily Lagoon and feed the fish in the Koi Fish Dam.

Southern Cross 4WD Tours
Visit the World Heritage listed rainforests of Lamington National Park and Tamborine Mountain. The “Tamborine Tracks” tour provides morning tea, Lunch, wine tasting and you will also visit a wildlife sanctuary where you can see the Australian Native animals including the Koala and Kangaroo.
